The Sacred Valley tour has perhaps one of the most representative and beautiful landscapes of Cusco. On this half day, you will tour to the most important villages and Inca sites full of history.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco around 08:30 am. On the way will be passing Sacsayhuaman and descend over the mountains to the Urubamba River. Our first stop will be in Pisac village and visit its fantastic artisans market as well as the temple and architecture of Pisac dated from Inca times.
On the Pisac artisans market, you will be having the opportunity to purchase any of the hand made crafts and textiles.
The best to come is the visit to the Inca ruins in this valley of Pisac. There will be a guided tour to the Citadel of Pisac and see temples, homes, altars, carvings, tunnels, caves and the famous Intihuatana, "The hitching post of the sun". We have about 90 minutes to explore the ruins.
It might be the case you prefer to stay in the Pisac market or around Pisac village instead of visiting the ruins if that's the case, you have to let your guide know your intentions so he can organize a time and place to pick you up when returning through the market.
Once we have finished visiting Pisac, then will continue to Ollantaytambo but first will stop in the way to have lunch (not included). During our Sacred Valley tour to the Ollantaytambo Inca site, we will be visiting the temple of the sun.
Local people of Ollantaytambo are very proud of keeping their traditions and you will see them wearing beautifully typical dresses. This village is surrounded by their local sacred mountains and valley of Patacancha and Willoq.
Finished our journey to Ollantaytambo, we will be visiting the famous church and archaeological site in Chincheros and then return to Cusco at about 18:30-19:00 hours.
